Waiting On Wednesday (16)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Title: Crossed
Author: Ally Condie
Release Date: November 1, 2011

I am so glad there is a sequel to Matched! I wasn't really satisfied with the ending of the previous book, so hopefully this book will quench my thirst!

Summary:
In search of a future that may not exist and faced with the decision of who to share it with, Cassia journeys to the Outer Provinces in pursuit of Ky — taken by the Society to his certain death — only to find that he has escaped, leaving a series of clues in his wake.

Cassia’s quest leads her to question much of what she holds dear, even as she finds glimmers of a different life across the border. But as Cassia nears resolve and certainty about her future with Ky, an invitation for rebellion, an unexpected betrayal, and a surprise visit from Xander — who may hold the key to the uprising and, still, to Cassia’s heart — change the game once again. Nothing is as expected on the edge of Society, where crosses and double crosses make the path more twisted than ever.

  2. Oh, Matched. It had so much potential in the beginning . . . I'll pick this one up too! I'm in the same boat, I really need to see what happens next, since the ending didn't do much for me :) Cool blog, btw!!!

  3. I didn't really like Matched as much as I thought I would, but it was still a good read. I'm also excited to find out what happens next, plus I love their cover arts!

  4. Although one of our team members loves MATCHED with a passion, I felt more like Jillian.

Btw, we are four YA writers and avid readers, and we just started a new blog to talk about YA literature. It's not so much book reviews as talking about different issues, trends, etc. We are hoping to connect with real teen readers, and we would love to see you there!
